During the summer of 2012 Danish Healthcare Design provided the equipment for a full-scale renovation of Borchorst Orthodontics in Aalborg, North Jutland.
Atelier’et A/S, headed by architect Gitte Falk, in collaboration with owner Morten Borchorst managed the conceptual development and project planning, decor and colour scheme. Drausche Consult A/S were charged with project engineering, while Lund & Staun acted as turnkey contractors. The project involved five orthodontics clinics, a sterilization unit, the reception, a plaster room, a laboratory and staff rooms.
The choice of materials and colours was slightly out of the ordinary, making the project no less interesting for Danish Healthcare Design. With kerosene-blue fronts, all cabinets have a cover of white-pigmented plywood board. Gitte Falk furthermore used different combinations of colours on walls, ceilings and floors, making for an impressive, almost immersive experience for customers and employees.
